What does Sterling Volk do?

Sterling Volk is a communications and corporate affairs firm for aged care and disability providers. We provide strategic communications counsel, reputation and issues support, change communications, stakeholder communications and communication governance.

Does Sterling Volk replace an internal communications team?

No. We can work alongside existing communications, marketing and corporate affairs teams, providing additional senior capability, independent judgement or support for specific projects and periods of increased demand. We can also work directly with leadership where there is no dedicated senior communications function.

When should an aged care or disability provider bring in external communications support?

External support can be valuable when significant change is underway, a sensitive issue is emerging, stakeholder expectations are increasing, internal teams are stretched or leadership needs additional communications judgement around an important organisational decision.

I prefer this version because it also fixes one subtle problem in the earlier copy: “senior communications ownership” implied Sterling Volk would necessarily take ownership of the whole function. “Senior communications judgement and support” leaves room for both models, organisations without senior communications leadership and established teams that bring Sterling Volk in for specialist support.
